Mao was 70% right 30% wrong

we all know what mao did right. he liberated china; started the cultural revolution; gave land to the poor; resisted imperialism; backed foreign gurela fighters; united the chinese people; inspired the worlds workers; etc.

the reason why the capitalists were able to wrestle power away from the comunists, and keep power for 40yrs+ is because the capitalists had always been harder on the comunists than the comunists had been on the capitalists. they fought harder, killed more, and never compromised. on the other hand, the comunists were preaching cooperation; leniency; rehabilitation; and compasion, and this did not work. ruling with a heavy hand is what keeps you in power. sending someone down to the country side to do farm work simply wasnt enough. as they say in the west, nice guys finish last, and thats what hapened.

heres what mao did wrong.

he never fought the right. although he purged deng, he never actually imprisoned him. while mao only sent deng to the factory; mao turned on the revolutionaries, and actually threw them in prison instead of reactionaries like deng, ye, zhou, etc.

we have to ask, why did mao wait so long to start the cultral revolution? he waited 17yrs. and it was only until the right seized power that mao launched the cr. why did he allow counterevolutionaries to gain so much power, and for such a long time. ask yourself this. would the rightists like deng ever allow wang hongwen to stay in his administration for 17yrs? of course not. i assume that mao knew that deng, chen yun, li xianian, peng zhen, yang shangkun, bo yibo, wang zhen, song renqiong, wan li, deng yingchao had always had exploitative intentions, or sympathy towards inperialism. so why would any decent revolutionary allow such trash to occupy state office?

maos mistakes began in 68 when he began locking up revolutionaries, and began his destruction of comunism as we know it. he locked up more revolutionaries in 69. then in 71, he made a historical mistake with lin biao, which was bad enough in itself, but what hapened after lin's death was disasterous. mao purged all of the remaining revolutionaries in the military, and this paved the path for counterevolutionaries. after this purge, the military was in the hand of the capitalists.very shortly after, to add insult to injury, mao joins the un, making china now a part of the us sphere of influence. when mao met nixon in 72, this also showed maos mistakes further itself, bringing china closer to the west, and farther from the people. what was unfortunate is that mao didnt learn from kruschevs mistakes only years earlier. accomodating the west will get you nowhere. despite kruschevs capitulations, the west was comited to wiping the ussr off the map. here we are 47 years later after chinese retreat, and the west has never stopped destabilizing china, with no end in sight. 71-72 were proabably the two most disasterous years for mao, because it was around this same time mao made a nation wide tour to bring back the counterevolutionaries he purged only years earlier, and give them their jobs back. that would be the equivalent of taking a shit, flushing the toilet, and then swiming into the ocean to bring the feces back. how ridiculous? but this is what mao did, and without these foolish actions, china wouldnt be in the reactionary state that its in today. and china isnt the only one suffering. countries around the world had to pay a price for mao's mistakes. the world would not be as tragic as it is today if mao had chosen not to acomodate inperialism, and counterevolutionaries. peru is a good example, where the revolutionaries came close to winning the war, but without support from major countries like china, they lost, and peru fell to ultrarightist capitalism where people continued to be opresed. the native majority population continues to live in poverty, as 2nd class citizens, ashamed of who they are, unable to lift up their head. hong kong is another example, where mainlanders have to walk the streets in shame, holding their head low, while pro western compradores flamboyantly wave their iron fists. the same story repeats itself throughout the world, a reminder, this is the price to be paid for surendering the revolution. many people believe that deng is to be credited for destroying china, but mao appears to have created the environment.

whats most disapointing is that mao had a pretty good situation even as late as 69, but he threw it all away, which makes me think, didnt he do a revolution for nothing? because in the end , his flawed decisions brought us back to 1948 again. its one thing to never have had freedom, but to have it, and then voluntarily give it up is hard to comprehend. this is why people like colonel qadafi are to be praised, because he would rather die than surrender, and that is something very unique and precious. the gang of 4 will also go down in history as heros.

by joining the un, this gave less freedom, and independence to china, and forced it to comply with "international norms", aka inperiaist, capitalist norms.
